Amy of The Cross Legacy on the TEDxSpokane Stage

American families throw away 30 to 40% of the food they buy with bananas being the item most thrown away. With increasing food prices, the easiest way to save money is to use everything we buy. Imagine having fresh strawberries three weeks after you buy them. Or eating half a banana today and the other half tomorrow! I am transforming how families look at produce.

The hacks I teach have been featured on the TEDxSpokane Stage, in The MirrorThe Sun UKMSN, and other news outlets around the world. I revolutionize how families shop and store their produce. With a few adjustments to their normal routine, I help families use all their produce; half a banana at a time.

My #strawberriesinajar hack went viral in October 2021 and has helped so many families. My most recent hack, #bananasinajar, is gaining momentum and is now helping families of little children eat all their bananas.

The Cross Legacy is about making generational change and leaving a legacy. It is about sharing tips and techniques that I have learned over the years. Such as how to make my produce last through a three-week grocery shopping cycle, saving my family money by using all the produce I purchase and by staying out of the store. I keep a well stocked pantry and cook from scratch using my single ingredient pantry. By sharing these skills with others we are changing how people clean, store and eat their fresh produce.

Between greens, berries, avocados, apples and more, I can take your audience on a budget saving journey!
